Richmond Hill Bridal Show in The News

Well if you are an early riser and live in the Savannah area, you may have seen me on WJCL this morning! I was on the morning news show, with Teresa Dilmore, talking about the bridal show at South Bridge tomorrow. The fabulous Jessica Kiss interviewed us. We chatted about the show and things that are important for planning a wedding.

The director of the show was so kind to model one of our new Nicole Miller gowns!

We were also interviewed on Wednesday at WTOC on the Mid Morning show with Sonny and Jody! The bridal show is going to be really great. There are two fashion shows. The first is at 10:30 and the second is at 1. Between the shows there will be ballroom dancing, live music from Equinoxx Jazz, and tea served by the Hale Tea Co. All of the proceedes bennefit the Ronald McDonald House. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. There will be drawings from all of the vendors as well. You just may win the prize from BleuBelle Bridal (which is a pretty great one)!

I hope to see you soon. Happy Wedding Planning!

Vera Wang Trunk Show!

So, you are the first to know ... we are having a Vera Wang Trunk Show February 12th - 14th! I am so excited for these new girls to come in! I mean, do you remember how much I gushed about the collection in October?!

We will have some Spring and Fall 2009 dresses. It is a little different, usually there are only dresses from one collection, but some of the Fall '09's will be at the Oscars (lucky them!). As soon as I know more I will tell you about the styles that we will be receiving. Until then, mark your calendars because this will be a trunk show to attend! They tend to book up quickly so I highly recommend calling in advance (912.355.2052)!

Check out Brides.com for the latest runways collections from Vera for a little wedding inspiration. Happy Wedding Planning!

Catching up

Well my friends it has been some time since we've blogged. I do apologize for that. So grab a cup of hot coco and lets gab for a while!

I want to send all of my congratulations to the newly engaged ladies! The holidays bring families together and year after year prove to be a great time for engagements! I am sure that your fiance has picked out a stunning ring that captures the unique and beautiful qualities of you! I hope to see it soon :)

We have had a very busy holiday season here at BleuBelle Bridal. The day after Christmas was just great! I feel like we should be a bridal salon in Pennsylvania because we see so many brides from there! Its great for me since that is my home state. Two brides came to see us with Pennsylvania connections that day.

Ashley is from Savannah but now lives in Philadelphia. She found a beautiful Reem Acra gown that we were sampling. She is thinking about doing a lace veil. I think that will be georgous! This gown is just like a blank canvas, perfect for adding personal touches to make it unique and totaly yours!

Our other Pennsylvania bride is from the South Central area (where I am from) and getting married at the Hotel Hershey! It is a fabulous resort in Hershey, PA. It also happens to be where my grandparents honeymooned! She will be coming back this week with her mother and aunt. I am very excited to see her again!!!!

I almost forgot, we even had another PA bride on Saturday the 27th! She has lived down here for about 13 years, but her aunt lives in my home town of Carlisle, PA and is my Mother's jewelr! It is such a small world. This bride is considering a short dress. I love it! There are a few Priscilla and Melissa dresses she is thinking of.

I just love this one! She is a little sassy and very sweet. The perfect dress for the bride who wants a classic tea-length gown!

In other news...

We will be sending the Tacori jewlery back on the 2nd! Please do not miss this opportunity to see all of the collection! There are so many fabulous pieces that you are sure to find the right accessory for any event!

Also keep your eyes open for a bridal show that will be taking place at The Southbridge Grand Lake Lodge & Spa on January 24th!

I hope you have a fantastic New Years! Happy wedding planning!

Let them eat cake!!!!

I was just looking at my good friend Minette Rushing's web site. Minette is the cake designer extraordinaire behind Custom Cakes. She has done several of our brides weddings and each one that I have seen are just beautiful! I was specifically intrigued by her grooms cakes! They are just so neat. She can really create something unique that captures you beloved.

You must also see her blog! She posts on a regular basis with events and new cakes. The most current post is from Caroline Rim's wedding! She was one of our lovely brides.

Check out Minette's fabulous web site and blog for some great eye candy to get those creative juices flowing. I wish you the best of luck in all your wedding planning. I hope to see you soon!

Latest Tacori Obsession

So, this new piece from Tacori is our latest obsession here at BleuBelle Bridal. It is a sterling silver ponytail wrap with Swarovski crystals. It is from Tacori's Regal Wedding collection and can be worn as a hair accessory or as an innovative necklace. We adore the way that it looks when braided through a long and loose ponytail!

One of our favorite brides, whose wedding is in just a few short weeks, was in this past weekend and purchased this hair piece for her upcoming nuptials. She will be wearing her hair in an elegant and retro updo and will have her stylist work the piece into her hair. We know that she will look simply stunning on her day and have been just thrilled to be a part of this joyous occasion!

Bridal Resource Library

Hello to all of my lovely brides!

We have a new section of the bridal salon. I am very excited to announce our Bridal Resource Library!

The Bridal Resource Library

This is a very special little section of the bridal salon. In the Resource Library you have some of the best wedding books and magazines at your finger tips! Have a seat at the desk while you look out the window onto Broughton Street, dreaming about the big day. A color copier and scanner is available for you to print or e-mail images. Our creative staff is also available to help you plan and brain storm.

See how much fun you can have spending some time in the Resource Library!

In the space we have the business cards for other local vendors. These are the best of the best in Savannah! From cakes to flowers to planners - we can assist you in finding the right vendors for your special day.

I hope that you take advantage of the space. Come up on a week day to sip on champagne while you flip through bridal magazines and books. I would recommend the week days just because Saturday can be a little nutty.

I hope that you have a lovely week. Happy wedding planning!

Adventures in wedding planning!

At BleuBelle Bridal, we tend to help our brides with different elements of the wedding. Being a bridal salon, most of that is attire related but we also give opinions on venues, colors, favors, and the millions of other details that go into wedding planning!

By best friend in the entire world is getting married next October in Pennsylvania. She and I spent last weekend doing preliminary planning. I normally don't get to do that with our brides since they have at least an idea of where things will be once they come to see me. It was so exciting looking through the different magazines, pulling ideas and seeing what the reoccurring themes were.

Something that I have enjoyed seeing brides do is taking things that are important to them or their groom and incorporate it into the wedding. For instance, my best friend grew up on an apple orchard. Since the fall is harvest time for apples, she is going to incorporate them into the table arrangements and maybe even do them as favors. We fell in love with the green apple color, so I believe that will be the main type of apple that is used.

Using in season products are always the way to go! Whether it is flowers or food - using in season products will cut down on costs because they do not have to be imported. You can also usually find a local vendor who grows what you are looking for.

She also decided that the other accent color would be blue. A darker blue, but not navy. These two colors together will be really lovely together. They aren't your traditional fall wedding colors, which will make them stand out from other weddings next fall.

This is kind of the color combination, as it is now. That Jim Hjelm maids dress is so cute! The sweet heart neckline is very flattering and a nice change from straight across strapless. The pleating draws the eye in, very slimming. Who knows maybe she will choose this one for us (wink wink)?!

Best wishes in your wedding planning! As I said before, we love giving advice on all things bridal. Send me an e-mail, call, or drop by any time!
