At BleuBelle Bridal, we tend to help our brides with different elements of the wedding. Being a bridal salon, most of that is attire related but we also give opinions on venues, colors, favors, and the millions of other details that go into wedding planning!
By best friend in the entire world is getting married next October in Pennsylvania. She and I spent last weekend doing preliminary planning. I normally don't get to do that with our brides since they have at least an idea of where things will be once they come to see me. It was so exciting looking through the different magazines, pulling ideas and seeing what the reoccurring themes were.
Something that I have enjoyed seeing brides do is taking things that are important to them or their groom and incorporate it into the wedding. For instance, my best friend grew up on an apple orchard. Since the fall is harvest time for apples, she is going to incorporate them into the table arrangements and maybe even do them as favors. We fell in love with the green apple color, so I believe that will be the main type of apple that is used.
Using in season products are always the way to go! Whether it is flowers or food - using in season products will cut down on costs because they do not have to be imported. You can also usually find a local vendor who grows what you are looking for.
She also decided that the other accent color would be blue. A darker blue, but not navy. These two colors together will be really lovely together. They aren't your traditional fall wedding colors, which will make them stand out from other weddings next fall.
This is kind of the color combination, as it is now. That Jim Hjelm maids dress is so cute! The sweet heart neckline is very flattering and a nice change from straight across strapless. The pleating draws the eye in, very slimming. Who knows maybe she will choose this one for us (wink wink)?!
Best wishes in your wedding planning! As I said before, we love giving advice on all things bridal. Send me an e-mail, call, or drop by any time!
