Richmond Hill Bridal Show in The News

Well if you are an early riser and live in the Savannah area, you may have seen me on WJCL this morning! I was on the morning news show, with Teresa Dilmore, talking about the bridal show at South Bridge tomorrow. The fabulous Jessica Kiss interviewed us. We chatted about the show and things that are important for planning a wedding.

The director of the show was so kind to model one of our new Nicole Miller gowns!

We were also interviewed on Wednesday at WTOC on the Mid Morning show with Sonny and Jody! The bridal show is going to be really great. There are two fashion shows. The first is at 10:30 and the second is at 1. Between the shows there will be ballroom dancing, live music from Equinoxx Jazz, and tea served by the Hale Tea Co. All of the proceedes bennefit the Ronald McDonald House. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. There will be drawings from all of the vendors as well. You just may win the prize from BleuBelle Bridal (which is a pretty great one)!

Vera Wang Trunk Show!

So, you are the first to know ... we are having a Vera Wang Trunk Show February 12th - 14th! I am so excited for these new girls to come in! I mean, do you remember how much I gushed about the collection in October?!

We will have some Spring and Fall 2009 dresses. It is a little different, usually there are only dresses from one collection, but some of the Fall '09's will be at the Oscars (lucky them!). As soon as I know more I will tell you about the styles that we will be receiving. Until then, mark your calendars because this will be a trunk show to attend! They tend to book up quickly so I highly recommend calling in advance (912.355.2052)!

Busy Busy Busy!

Hello!

We are just busy little bees here at BleuBelle Bridal! We have been spending days at the store and evenings at the new location getting ready for the big move! Tomorrow is going to be a huge day for us! Lots of hands will be helping with painting and installing fixtures. Slowly we are packing up things at our current location. Here are a few pictures from Sunday!

We are also involved in a bridal fashion show that will take place on January 24th from 11 to 4 at Southbridge's Grand Lake Lodge and Spa. The tickets are $5 before the show and $7 the day of. All of the proceeds benefit The Ronald McDonald House. It will be a great chance to see some of our designers latest bridal gowns and maids dresses! There will also be some awesome prizes for brides provided by the vendors. Who knows what you may get from us. Last year at the Hilton Head Show we gave away a Vera Wang veil!

Bride Wars

So on Friday night Heather and I watched Bride Wars! It was amazing! Hello Vera. Hello Tacori. Ah... it was fun.

From the previews I already knew what my favorite parts was going to be when Kate Hudson realized that her dress was too small and says " You don't alter Vera Wang. You alter yourself to fit Vera!". However ... when you watch the movie she hears that from the bridal stylist! AH! I could never imagine saying anything like that to my brides! But ... it did make for a funny scene.

The dress that Kate Hudson wears is Vera. It is stunning. The one in the film is from her Luxe collection but we have one from her Opening collection that is very similar and just as beautiful! It was out on location at Isle of Hope yesterday for the Spring issue of Savannah Weddings. I will be sure to put some images of that up when the fabulous Donna Von Bruening gets them to me.

If you see the film you will notice a blue hair pin that they make a little bit of a big deal about. It is TACORI!!!!! Now, my only complaint is that it is not a color available for us to order. They offer it in orange, white, lavender, and pink. No blue :( It will be my mission to see if we can get one because it was beautiful!!!!

I think that since we are in the wedding profession, there is a certain appreciation we have for films like that. We get some of the things that others not in the profession may not get. It makes for sly looks at one another, gasps, and panic attacks when things (dress related for me) go wrong.

I encourage you to see the movie. It was really cute. A great movie to see with your girlfriends!

Moving!!!!

Bonjour!

I am so excited to let you know that BleuBelle Bridal is moving!!! We are very excited - we can't stop saying the word excited we are so excited! Woo Hoo!!!! Our new home is in the fabulous Twelve Oaks Shopping Center located on Abercorn Street. The change in location will be effective January 20th. I will have pictures later on but just had to share the news!

Just think of how much closer we will be to you and how easy it will be to park! So great! I am absolutely delighted with the new location. It is just as beautiful as our current space with the added benefits of a more central location and parking.

Classy and Fabulous

Coco Chanel once said that, "A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous." and we at Bleubelle Bridal completely agree. Your wedding day is the ultimate expression of your personality and dreams and we are here to help make those dreams come true.

In the Winter 2009 issue of Weddings Unveiled, Inspiring Style for Southern Weddings, there is a spread entitled, So Glamorous and can I just say that I want to get married again so I could wear one of these fabulous looks! Coco Chanel would have beamed with bride and bubbled over with happiness when viewing these ultra chic looks. Here is a little peek for you!





I love the idea of playing with black and white for a wedding look. One of our favorite brides did this and she looks stunning! She is actually wearing an ivory sash on her dress for the wedding complete with a classic pearl embellished veil and switching to a black sash and caged veil for the reception. Two words for this bride's looks: classy and fabulous!
